Should I depend and be let down
When nothing comes my way?
Or shall I expect nothing less
Than nothing at all today
Should I look behind myself
To hear what they will say?
Or shall I keep my eyes forward
And talk in my own way
Should I ask a second thought
To clarify my own?
Or shall I stand here by myself
And cast the first stone
Should I be scared to see a mirror
When I am all alone?
Or shall I look on with pride today
Without a blister shown
So should I cast a shadow
Onto my own question?
